This year, Falcon Debate participated in the Annual Channelview Fall Festival. The festival was held inside Channelview High School and is open to the public. There are games, concessions, prizes, and even live music! The Falcon Debate team hosted ZOMBIE WARZ, a game where contestants had to knock over hand-painted zombie heads with bean bags. The game brought a huge crowd and the team had a blast participating! Make sure to stop by next year and check out what we have in store!

October 22nd-23rd *Bellaire 55th Annual Debate Tournament*

I am proud to announce a very successful weekend in Falcon Debate. The Bellaire Forensic Tournament is a highly competitive tournament; a must-go-to for any debate team. This year the Falcon Debate team made a good name for themselves. The Varsity Debate Team continuously showed their talents and determination in each and every round. Congratulations to Jordan Settles for 2nd place in Poetry Interp & OctoFinals in LD Debate, Amanda Hernandez for Semi-Finals in poetry & Semi-Finals in Impromptu! Summer Stanforth walked away with 6th place in Domestic Extemp (out of over 70 entries!) and Alex Tran for 8th place in Domestic Extemp & Semi-Finals in Impromptu Speaking! Ulysses Soto for Semi-Finals in Original Oratory! The Novice Debate Team, as usual, did well also. The team of Travis & Trevor Blackwood went undefeated in their 4 Preliminary rounds of Novice CX-Debate, making it to Semi-Finals. Freshmen, Alexis Holland and Rachel Clark also made it to Semi-Finals in Novice CX-Debate. You should be proud of your Channelview Debate team and please make sure to congratulate any and all of them you see in the halls. Our next tournament is on November 6th at Westfield High School UIL Competition.
